Alternate Versions: DVD "deleted scenes" bit contain a by a long chalk longer newspaper of the "this scribble, this masterpiece" scene which bounded by a Martin monologue explain why an accountant would scribble a sci-fi script. His starting script, something approaching the hectic world of accounting, be rejected in favor of something that at lowest whatsoever individual aliens in it. The honour be "Star Wars," but that will should be changed. Another scene features the furthermost avant-garde dry-cleaning specific you'll ever see, explaining finer the "Kit's dried cleaning" bits and piece after that next to.
CONT: When Afrim and the LA Cop tug Kit ended at the twist far-reaching awake of the the flicks, the LA Cop get out of the motor orifice. When we disengage wager by to the car to see Afrim getting out, the LA Cop sitting encircled by the car chitchat on the radio., CONT: When Bowfinger is in the bedroom with Daisy, counting his money, the picture behind the bed changes angle between shots (the first part of the scene was re-shot months after principal photography had finished, to include a shot of the table set for two)., CONT: Bowfinger takes off his fake pony tail and puts it in his left coat pocket before going into the restaurant. When he pulls out his business card and gives it to Jerry Renfro, he puts his hand in his right pocket, and the fake pony tail is attached to his card., CREW: A "bounce card" (light reflecting screen) is reflected in the window of Kit's car., FAKE: In the security room at the observatory, the monitors are showing nominally live action. However, you can see videotape dropout artifacts on the screen., BOOM: At the observatory, Kit and the actress are running down some stairs. We cut to a monitor in the security room shooting that same staircase and a boom mic from the main film unit is clearly visible., CHAR: When reviewing a script with his agent at the beginning of the movie, Kit says that the letter K appears 1,456 times in the script, which is perfectly divisible by 3, meaning that KKK appears 486 times. 1,456 is not exactly divisible by 3.
Crazy Credits: After the last credits roll, Kit's line, "I saved the world! I saved it," can be heard.
Robert K. Bowfinger: She had the personality of a ZIP code in Kansas., Robert K. Bowfinger: Yes! We'll be just like Bogey and Bacall!::Daisy: Who?, Kit: Them people can't speak English good!, Robert K. Bowfinger: We're finished! It's over between us!::Daisy: But why?::Robert K. Bowfinger: You slept with Jiff.::Daisy: So?::Robert K. Bowfinger: You know, I never thought about it that way.::Daisy: So I'll see you tonight?::Robert K. Bowfinger: What time?, [Interviewing Jiff for the movie]::Robert K. Bowfinger: Would you be willing to cut your hair?::Jiff Ramsey: Well, yeah, but it would probably be better if someone else did it. I've had a few... accidents., Kit: The white man gets all the best catchphrases!, Robert K. Bowfinger: This film is only for Madagascar and Iran, neither of which follow American copyright law., Kit: White boys always get the Oscar. It's a known fact. Did I ever get a nomination? No! You know why? Cause I hadn't played any of them slave roles, and get my ass whipped. That's how you get the nomination. A black dude who plays a slave that gets his ass whipped gets the nomination, a white guy who plays an idiot gets the Oscar. That's what I need, I need to play a retarded slave, then I'll get the Oscar., Robert K. Bowfinger: See that FedEx truck? Every day it delivers important papers to people all over the world. And one day, it is going to stop here, and a man is going to walk up and casually toss a couple of FedExes on my desk. And at that moment, we - and by we, I mean me - will be important., Daisy: I know what's going on. I may be from Ohio, but I'm not from Ohio., Terry Stricter, MindHead Honcho: Happy premise #1.::Kit: Happy premise #1: There are no aliens.::Terry Stricter, MindHead Honcho: Happy premise #2.::Kit: Happy premise #2: There is no giant foot trying to squash me.::Terry Stricter, MindHead Honcho: Happy premise #3.::Kit: Happy premise #3: Even though I feel like I might ignite, I probably won't., Kit: It's too cerebral! We're trying to make a movie here, not a film!, Jiff Ramsey: Oh, gosh, I'm really hoping to get a career running errands. That'd be a major boost for me., Kit: Go call Arnold and Sly, and Jackie Chan and Van Damme, and tell them the spearchucker said hello!, Robert K. Bowfinger: Now that you and your colleagues here at Mindfu - , head have had a chance to think, what do you say?, Robert K. Bowfinger: ...but what are some of your favorite TV shows?::Daisy: I love the Flintstones.::Robert K. Bowfinger: Oh I love the Flintstones too, that's so good, do you like that? Now, okay, do you like walks in the park?::Daisy: In the rain!::Robert K. Bowfinger: Oh God, you know what, I want you to see the Music Man, because...::Daisy: I've seen that! I love the Music Man!::Robert K. Bowfinger: Isn't Robert Preston good?::Daisy: He's so good! Do you LOVE Smashing Pumpkins?::Robert K. Bowfinger: Are you kid - I LOVE to do that!, Kit's Agent: This is a great script! Look, it's not Shakespeare, but it...::Kit: Hey, what did you just say?::Agent: I said, 'it's not Shakespeare'...::Kit: 'It's not Shake... ', 'It's not Shake... ' (to Freddy) Do you hear what he's doing?::Freddy: I know he's doing something, I just can't put my finger on it. Yeah, yeah, yeah... What's he doing?::Kit: Shakespeare, Freddy, Shakespeare!::Freddy: Shakespeare?::Kit: Shake a spear! Spearchucker! I'm a spearchucker now!, [first lines]::Robert K. Bowfinger: Wow. Great script. Great script! [to his dog] Betsy? It's now or never. We are gonna make a movie., Robert K. Bowfinger: We need a guy with a fabulous ass! And mine is the wrong color!, Robert K. Bowfinger: Think of this as an errand. Your errand is to run across the freeway until I yell, "Cut!", [on filming someone without their permission]::Robert K. Bowfinger: Did you know that Tom Cruise didn't know he was in that vampire movie until three months later?, [on the ending of the script Chubby Rain]::Robert K. Bowfinger: I mean, at the end of this movie. When our hero, Keith Kincade, looks up at the alien anteanae and says "Gotcha suckas!"... I mean, that is a moment., Dave: But movies cost millions of dollars to make.::Robert K. Bowfinger: That's after gross net deduction profit percentage deferment ten percent of the nut. Cash, every movie cost $2,184., Terry Stricter, MindHead Honcho: And what is it that we don't do?::Kit: Oh, man!::Terry Stricter, MindHead Honcho: What is it?::Kit: Look, I have to show it to the Laker Girls.::Terry Stricter, MindHead Honcho: You cannot show it to the Laker Girls. I know you want to show it to the Laker Girls but you can never show it to the Laker Girls. Keep Mr Weenie in the pants. Always in the pants., Kit: The letter K appears in this script 1,456 times. That's perfectly divisible by 3.::Freddy: So what? So what you saying?::Kit: What am I saying? KKK appears in this script 486 times!, Robert K. Bowfinger: I'm 49 years old. Admittedly, I could get away with 44, 41, *maybe* 38. But when you hit 50 they don't hire you anymore. It's like they can *smell* 50., Robert K. Bowfinger: [of a prolonged kissing scene audition] Let's try it one more time, uh, Slater, this time *without* the erection., Kit: [looking around] Hey! Freddy?::Dave: You heard me Kincade, don't act dumb! Where's the plutonium?::Kit: Key, the plutonium is mine, its been registered for religious purposes!::Dave: [confused] You, you actually have some plutonium?::Robert K. Bowfinger: [listening] He's got *plutonium*?, Robert K. Bowfinger: Do you have any experience in motion pictures?::Jiff Ramsey: Uh, well, yeah, quite a bit, actually, I have quite a bit of experience. I'm an active, uh, renter at Blockbuster, and I, um, attend the filmed cinema, uh, as much as possible, weekly, bi-weekly, inter-week-... intermediately.::Robert K. Bowfinger: Would you be willing to cut your hair?::Jiff Ramsey: [sighs] Oh, yes, but, uh, it's usually better if someone else does it. I've had a few... accidents., Carol: I'm not supposed to be doing this, but I just want you to know that you were so real in your response to the aliens. I mean, I wasn't even sure that I could be a pod person, but now I'm enjoyong it because you made the aliens come alive. It was like they were living inside of me! At first I was nervous about us having sex, but now I think it's a good idea, as long as we do it in a professional manner... and of course, there will be a lot of people watching. I won't bother you anymore., Robert K. Bowfinger: And why is this going to work? Because Afrim here is a damn fine screenwriter, as well as accountant and part time receptionist. I said to Afrim "If you can write half as well as you can add-" Well I didn't even have to finish my sentence. Twelve days later he hands me this, this masterpiece. Afrim, tell them what it's called.::Afrim: Chubby Rain.::Robert K. Bowfinger: Tell them why!::Afrim: Because when the aliens come down to earth, they come inside raindrops, making the rain chubby. Chubby rain!, [after seeing Dave's camera which he loaned without permission]::Robert K. Bowfinger: Good camera.::Dave: Yeah. I gotta have it back in every night, or it's a felony. Years you get.::Robert K. Bowfinger: [pats Dave on the shoulder] You'd get.

Director 'Frank Oz' (qv) glutinous of improvisation during select scene, and occasionally the arise slash wakeful inwardly the motion graphic. Some instance of this be 'Robert Downey Jr.' (qv) proverb "and all this" while flip through the scrawl of Chubby Rain, 'Eddie Murphy (I)' (qv) ask his overseer to find him a retard slave role as a result he can win an Academy Award, and 'Steve Martin (I)' (qv) saying, "It could've worked" after Chubby Rain be slam elephant hide., The 'Eddie Murphy (I)' (qv) part was actually written for 'Keanu Reeves' (qv)., 'Steve Martin (I)' (qv) said his inspiration for writing the part of Daisy ('Heather Graham (I)' (qv)) was 'Anne Heche' (qv), with whom he had an affair years before., Based on a real incident in 1927. A Russian filmmaker covertly shot footage of the vacationing 'Mary Pickford' (qv), and fashioned an entire film around the footage, creating the illusion that Pickford was actually starring in this Russian film., Originally entitled "Bowfinger's Big Thing"., The company could only get 'Eddie Murphy (I)' (qv) for a brief, six week window, to shoot his role in the movie. He was in between shooting _Life (1999/I)_ (qv) and _Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000)_ (qv) and had just a brief time in his busy schedule to work on this project., The license plate for the FedEx van at the end reads "T3THANS". Tethans are relevant to the Scientology cult, which this movie makes a satire of as the Mind Head organization., When Bobby shows Kit the script, Kit says he is not a expecting a script from Paramount Pictures, but maybe Universal. In real life, 'Eddie Murphy (I)' (qv)'s movies in the 1980s and early 1990s were produced by Paramount, but his later movies (including 'Bowfinger') have been produced by Universal., 'Eddie Murphy (I)' (qv) accepted his role in this movie when he heard he would be working with 'Steve Martin (I)' (qv), of whom he is a huge fan., In one scene, Bowfinger comments as how he's 49, and could, possibly, pass for 38. This is clearly a poke at how, often, in Hollywood, people deflate their ages, which is also explained when he gets down his box that he's put a dollar in every week since age 10. The sum given is $2,184.00, which would actually put Bowfinger's age at 52., In the film, Kit Ramsey's house is the same residence depicted as "Stately Wayne Manor" in the 1966 _"Batman" (1966)_ (qv) television series.

Hollywood, today: Bobby Bowfinger, a run-down actor-producer-director, be reading a calligraphy which a playfellow expert textual. Completely convinced of its characteristic, he decide to hold a ending shot at naming and coincidence. But the script is not that confident to vend, and a grassroots originator promise him to perpetrate it, but in that is one reputation: Kit Ramsey, Hollywood's cipher one personality, has to be contained by it. So, Bobby try his chance near Kit - who say no - and next decides to shoot the motion ocular aid himself. Together with the cheapest troop untaken in Southern California, an aspiring attractiveness from Ohio, a diva who is of deferred all for a circumstance completed the stallion, a key-holding gofer from a crucial studio and a goon hired out burger-flipping, Bobby set out to shoot the science-fiction-film starring Kit Ramsey - who do not even know he's one film., When grasping director Bobby Bowfinger finally finds the 'perfect' script, a cheesy sci-fi story called "Chubby Rain", he decides to put everything on the line and give it a shot... gathering together an ambitious young Ohio actress, a melodramatic stage actress and a laid back male hopeful. Armed with a handful of illegal immigrants for a crew, a tiny budget, and equipment stolen from a nearby studio, Bowfinger lacks just one thing... Hollywood's hottest action star, Kit Ramsey. Refusing to give up when Kit doesn't take the part, Bowfinger and his crew do whatever it takes to complete the flick - secretly filming Kit without his permission and using his nerdy look-alike brother to fill in for remaining scenes.
